The Coyote App, the essential tool to keep your points?

It’s 2005. The YouTube adventure is just beginning, and the iPhone doesn’t exist yet. MSN Messenger and MySpace are favored by teenagers. The two create the company Coyote and market a small black device that quickly becomes famous. Behind this initiative, a simple goal: to inform drivers of road hazards and alert them to fixed and mobile speed cameras along their route. All of this is powered by a community system, which operates in real time thanks to alerts from other users. The immediate success is evident: a year after its launch, the Coyote Community already gathers 30,000 people!

Rapidly becoming essential in France, the Coyote device also appeals in other European countries. Over time, the service evolves and improves. It arrived on smartphones in 2009. Ten years later, the Coyote app becomes compatible with Apple Carplay*. iPhone users can now access it directly on their vehicle’s dashboard screen. Since summer 2021, the service also works with Android Auto. Beyond reliability, a new quality has been added: versatility. Coyote thus becomes the driver’s best ally, warning them of dangers on the road in all circumstances, and enabling them to keep all their points on their driving license. Once the smartphone is connected to the car,  the Coyote App appears directly on the multimedia screen. The driver can see all the app’s content: alerts from the Coyote Community, which counts five million members in Europe; notification of potentially dangerous zones that may contain speed checks, fixed or mobile; updates on speed limit changes; all elements that could pose a danger (objects on the road, accidents, weather conditions, traffic jams, disruptions…). The app also provides predictive safety indications, highlighting truly dangerous curves. With smart GPS navigation, it constantly informs about traffic conditions. Thanks to subscription plans, Coyote is ad-free and does not use customers’ personal data for commercial purposes, unlike many similar apps. A real benefit for drivers, who can see danger zones and radars without being disturbed by spam messages!

This app is quickly profitable, enhancing your safety on the one hand and sparing you from many financial or administrative troubles on the other. Fewer fines mean fewer appeals to make, and the threat of a points recovery course recedes!
