This INEOS Grenadier is Worth the “Detour”

We can choose to build the Grenadier, a worthy heir to the Defender and Land Cruiser, without sacrificing a bit of elegance.

Limited to just 200 units, the INEOS Grenadier limited edition “Detour” offers a unique level of customization and long-distance comfort in its sector for a vehicle that is quite utilitarian, it must be admitted. But the success of the Defender and other G-Class vehicles sparks ideas. Customers can choose from a wide range of personal interior and exterior options, including a bespoke paint palette or a special exhaust system.

All 200 “Detour” models will be hand-finished in the UK using high-quality materials from suppliers based in England, including leathers from Bridge of Weir, cashmere from Johnstons of Elgin, and unique emblems from British jewelers Vaughtons.

A Grenadier So British

The “Detour” models will be recognizable by their unique 18-inch forged alloy wheels, a specially designed grille with headlamp contours, and four new dedicated paint finishes – Magma Red, Whiteout Blue, Squall Green, and Storm Force Silver, each of which is hand-polished to enhance the finish. In addition to the four exclusive color options, Detour drivers looking for the ultimate in personalization can select the Arcane Works bespoke paint option, which uses a color-matching system that bases the paint color on a sample provided by the customer or matched to an existing vehicle they may own. Their “Detour” will then be hand-painted in this unique color and polished by hand until it is very shiny in the UK.

The cabin will offer a high level of personalization with a choice of two new satin finishes for the transmission tunnel, doors, and air vents, as well as tactile leathers and fabrics for key contact points with the driver. In addition to the four fine grain Bridge of Weir leathers for the quilted seat trim, and two cashmeres from Johnstons of Elgin for the headlining, all “Detour” models will feature a laser-engraved aluminum door sill plate displaying the status of the vehicle’s limited edition. The discreet exterior and interior emblems from Arcane Works are created by the British jewelers Vaughtons.
