The Renault Clio switches to LPG at the best time!

In the midst of soaring fuel prices, Renault launches the Clio with GPL engine in an almost ideal context.

The Renault Cliowill enhance its range in 2026 with a strategic novelty: the Eco-G 120 hp EDC engine, a bi-fuel petrol/GPL version arriving in a particularly favorable context. As fuel prices remain high and volatile in Europe, this new offer comes at the right time for both individuals and professionals looking for cost savings.

This new unit develops 120 hp and 200 Nm of torque, for the first time paired with a dual-clutch automatic transmission EDC on the Clio. The system allows for smooth gear shifts while maintaining simple and comfortable everyday driving. In GPL mode, consumption starts at 6.5 l/100 km, with CO₂ emissions from 105 g/km.

The Clio that comes just in time

One of the main advantages of this version is its combined range, which can reach around 1,450 km thanks to its two tanks (GPL and petrol). In a context of sustained increases in pump costs, GPL, priced around 1 euro per liter, represents an increasingly relevant economical alternative in the versatile city car segment. Priced from 21,900 euros, the Clio Eco-G 120 EDC positions itself at the same level as equivalent petrol versions, while offering a lower usage cost.

Orders open on May 5, 2026, with deliveries expected as early as summer, enhancing the appeal of a model that is already central in the Renault range.
