Lamborghini police cars have been saving lives for 20 years!

Italian police officers are among the luckiest in the world, thanks to a prestigious collaboration with Automobili Lamborghini.

Since 2004, Italy proudly celebrates this alliance that combines innovation, excellence, and social commitment. The Italian approach is full of common sense since its Lamborghinis save lives! The country makes its automakers a symbol of its expertise and creativity, showcasing them as tools of work and objects of national pride.

It all started with the addition of a Lamborghini Gallardo with a V10 engine to the “Polizia di Stato” fleet. Since then, six exceptional vehicles, including the Gallardo LP 560-4, Huracán LP 610-4, and the latest Urus Performante, have joined the Italian law enforcement forces. These supercars, specially modified to meet operational needs, are equipped with advanced technologies, such as refrigerated compartments for transporting organs or defibrillators for emergency medical interventions.

Over twenty years, this collaboration has enabled more than 200 organ transport missions, saving many lives across Italy. In parallel, these vehicles have participated in over 1,500 educational events to promote road safety, becoming true ambassadors of prevention and awareness. Their presence on the roads, as well as during events like parades or historic car races, highlights Italy’s pride in showcasing its automotive heritage.

The latest addition, the Urus Performante, embodies Italian exuberance with its 666 HP twin-turbo V8 engine and custom equipment for critical missions. More than just a patrol vehicle, it is a mobile showcase of technological mastery and Italian style. This partnership between Lamborghini and law enforcement demonstrates that Italy does not only produce luxury cars: it proudly uses them for noble causes, proving that performance and utility can go hand in hand.
