Supercar Blondie is a fan of Alpine!

We were surprised to find the Alpine Alpenglow at Rétromobile on the SBX Cars stand, the car auction site of Supercar Blondie.

It’s hard to imagine Alpine auctioning off its exceptional hydrogen concept car. Unveiled in 2022 at the previous Mondial de l’Auto as a concept car, Alpenglow had already made an impression with its high-performance hydrogen combustion engine concept. A credible solution to offer sports models that are as pleasing to the eye as they are to the ear while ensuring a satisfactory decarbonization balance.

The name Alpenglow refers to the reddish light that appears on mountains at dawn. The parallel is easy to draw with this concept developed by the French manufacturer to announce the beginning of a new era, just as Alpenglow heralds the arrival of a new day. Thus, it is a unique car in the world.

The uncomplexed hydrogen according to Alpine

The Alpenglow is powered by an internal combustion engine, fueled by hydrogen. The two tanks are located on either side of the car, flanking the driver seated in a central position. The Alpine concept is a treasure trove of subtle details such as the transparent movable spoiler, the red-tinted front light signature and blue at the rear, wheels shaped like snowflakes, or even the transparent illuminated paddles around the steering wheel.

So what is this car of the future doing on the stand of the star influencer? The answer was given to us by Antony Villain, the design director of Alpine and the brilliant designer of this gem. Supercar Blondie simply contacted the manufacturer directly to request the privilege of showcasing the car. A year ago, she was the first content creator to have direct access to the prototype, and it turns out she had a real crush on the blue gem from France. Knowing she has handled some of the most beautiful cars in the world, what a wonderful recognition for Alpine and its Design office!
