The English auction site Collecting Cars scored big by increasing the price of a Porsche 934 sculpture.

218 bids were placed to reach this crazy price, which is far above that of a real Porsche 911, the model used here as a reference. Specifically, it is a Type 934, a very rare racing version produced in only 31 units.
Sure, the result is impressive and makes for a nice display in a (large) living room, but it’s never more than a bunch of 32 mm diameter orange tubes mimicking a legendary vehicle. The whole thing rests on four wheels (BBS rims + slick tires), similar to those Porsche used in competition in the 1970s.
It’s art!
The orange color is no random choice either. It references the German alcohol brand Jägermeister, known for its equally legendary branding.
Created at a 1:1 scale and first presented at the 2022 Milan Design Week, this sculpture later traveled to Asia, first to Beijing and then Shanghai, with Porsche China’s blessing.
This Porsche 934 complements Benedict Radcliffe’s body of work, which previously created a much more beautiful and sophisticated Lamborghini Countach, as well as a London taxi (sold for €121,736), both at full scale.
