A new challenge for this graduate of HEC Paris, who will need to prepare the electric transition from a commercial perspective.

After spending just over a year at Alpine, Cédric Journel joins the sales management team of Renault France. He will lead the Business EV, a new entity that will support the transition to electric vehicles from a commercial standpoint. The scope of issues to address will include new vehicle sales, associated services, the used vehicle sector, and end-of-cycle battery management.

The announcement was made by Ivan Segal, the Commercial Director of Renault France. In a conference reported by L’Argus, he explained that Renault needs to rethink its business model and the operation of its dealerships to anticipate the all-electric transition.

A Bright Career in the Automotive Sector

Since April 1, 2021, Cédric Journel has held the position of Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Alpine. Born in 1973, this HEC Paris graduate began his career in motorsports and Formula 1. He later joined Honda as a network developer before advancing his career within Volkswagen Group France. He held various roles in sales, marketing, and network development, before becoming Head of Marketing for Skoda France. Cédric Journel then moved to the Volkswagen Group headquarters to lead international communications. Shortly after, he became Vice President of Marketing, Product, and Strategy for China at FAW-VW. In 2016, he was appointed General Manager of Audi in Korea. He was subsequently named General Manager of Volkswagen Import China from 2019.
