Porsche offers its historical fabrics again

Porsche Fabrics

Porsche reissues fabrics with iconic patterns, allowing for the restoration of classic car interiors to their original state.

Porsche knows that classic car enthusiasts appreciate the opportunity to restore the interiors of their models with authenticity in mind. The Pepita, Pasha, and tartan patterns, which have marked the brand’s history, are now available again at Porsche Centers and on the official online store, covering a period from the Porsche 356 to the contemporary 911.

According to Ulrike Lutz, Classic Director at Porsche, this initiative meets a strong demand: “Our customers want their classic or newer vehicles restored as faithfully as possible to their original state. The reissuing of these historical fabrics fills a gap in the market, often flooded with lower quality imitations.”

From Old to Brand New

The fabrics are reproduced from original samples sourced from Porsche’s archives and subjected to strict testing. Resistance to light, abrasion, and fire, as well as the accuracy of patterns and colors, are guaranteed. The textiles can be used to reupholster seats, side panels, and other interior elements, with dimensions of 1.5 x 2 meters, while maintaining harmony with the original elements.

The Pepita pattern, introduced on the 356 in 1963 and then on the 911 F, consists of squares connected by diagonal stripes and is inspired by the famous pattern used by Christian Dior. The tartans, offered exclusively on the 911 Turbo since 1974, reflect tradition and craftsmanship. Finally, the Pasha pattern, created in the 1970s for the 928, 911, 924, and 944 models, evokes motorsport and Ottoman luxury, combining rectangles and dynamic colors to visually convey elegance and movement.
