Porsche is preparing a nice surprise for us

Porsche announces a GT version of the new 911 with a very intriguing photo to chew on.

The first GT variant of the new Porsche 911 is ready to be unveiled. There’s no doubt about the ultra-sporty intent of this model, as the prestigious ambassadors and brand development drivers, Walter Röhrl and Jörg Bergmeister, will be present. It is already known that this new 911 from the GT division in Flacht will be presented in two versions. One can therefore imagine an extreme version and a slightly more civil version, similar to what the brand has done with the GT3 and GT3 Touring.

There’s no need to analyze the lines of the car in the photo since one can make a photo in backlight say whatever they want… That’s why this technique is used to create an aura of mystery. The swan neck spoiler and the roll cage visible behind the side window, just behind a helmeted head, leave no doubt about a 100% competition version.

However, one might wonder about the possibility of hybridization of the model. Porsche might logically hesitate, as such a revolution would undoubtedly provoke an outcry from some purists, as was the case with the 918 during its presentation. But Porsche has since become a reference in electric sports cars with the Taycan and offers a range of attractive electric SUVs while maintaining that DNA that makes a Porsche, a Porsche.

All the answers to these questions won’t take long, as the World Premiere of the new 911 GT is scheduled for this Friday, October 18th at 6:30 PM on the Porsche Newsroom platform, as well as on the manufacturer’s YouTube channel.
