On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of his passing, Antoine de Saint Exupéry lends his name to a collection presented by DS Automobiles.
Just like the world of haute couture, DS Automobiles continues to present its collections each year. Humanist, storyteller, aviator, scientist, and artist, Antoine de Saint Exupéry was chosen to lend his name to a new collection. Inspired by the travels and stories of the aviator-writer, each model features references to the author’s works.
Offered on the DS 3, DS 4, and DS 7, the Antoine de Saint Exupéry Collection features a common exclusive signature, closely linked to the adventurer’s story. Each model, inspired by one of Antoine de Saint Exupéry’s works, is notably available in a new specific shade called “Vol de Nuit.” This pearlescent paint, composed of pigments, creates subtle golden reflections reminiscent of a starry sky at dawn.
The interior ambiance reflects the codes of aviators from the first half of the 20th century, featuring warm, generous-touch, and durable Brown Criollo Nappa leather. The leather is complemented by an innovative embroidery technique on the dashboard decor, evoking the trail of an airplane.
Various interior and exterior badges, as well as plates affixed to the door sills, complete the exclusive signature of the Antoine de Saint Exupéry Collection. These plates feature quotes and drawings from the inspirational works, along with the signature Antoine de Saint Exupéry, accompanied by a “speedform” logo. Its sketch resembles an aircraft fuselage. The propeller placed at the center recalls a star that could guide aviators and, more broadly, travelers.
The offer is available across all engine types for each model: 100% electric, plug-in hybrid, hybrid, gasoline, and diesel. Orders open on May 14. To celebrate the launch of this Collection and to commemorate the passing of Antoine de Saint Exupéry, a certificate with the name of a star will be given to the first eighty European customers.
