Pirelli Official Tire Supplier for the Porsche Cayenne

Pirelli has been confirmed as the original equipment tire supplier for the new Porsche Cayenne.

The presentation of the latest evolution of the Porsche Cayenne was an opportunity for the German manufacturer to renew its partnership with the Italian tire maker Pirelli. Pirelli has equipped every generation of this large sporty SUV, from the original version in 2002 to today. A two-decade period marked by numerous model upgrades, such as the Cayenne S Hybrid – Porsche’s first hybrid – then the Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid (a plug-in hybrid version), up to the current Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid, the most powerful Cayenne ever produced.

The full range specifically developed for the Cayenne includes four models: P Zero, P Zero Corsa, Scorpion Winter 2, and Scorpion Zero All Season, from 20 to 22 inches.

The P Zero developed for this new design meets driving requirements, steering precision, stability, and safety, even during emergency maneuvers. In fact, all sizes received the highest rating on the European labeling system for wet braking. The tire was designed to support the high torque and loads generated by the vehicle, especially at high speeds.

The P Zero Corsa was chosen for sporty and track driving. This tire is derived from the P Zero Corsa, which helped the Porsche Cayenne GT set a record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 2021. The P Zero Corsa for the new Cayenne – as well as the previous version that contributed to this record – is designed with racing-derived tread components, developed by Pirelli to equip the fastest vehicles in the world.

The latest edition of the Porsche Cayenne is one of the first vehicles to receive the Scorpion Winter 2, a winter-specific tire approved for the cold season, with a range covering all sizes. Pirelli engineers faced a major challenge during the development of winter tires: ensuring safety at low temperatures and on snow, while maintaining very high performance on dry and wet surfaces, all with the same sporty DNA that Porsche expects from a summer tire.
