MINI and Paul Smith unveil a new chapter

Tokyo becomes, at the end of October, the showcase of the new partnership between MINI and British designer Paul Smith.

On the occasion of the Japan Mobility Show 2025, MINI will unveil a new creation resulting from this collaboration during the group’s keynote on October 29th at 9:55 AM (local time), in the West Exhibition Hall of the event.

This new MINI Paul Smith Edition marks an additional step in a relationship that began over twenty-five years ago. In 1998, Paul Smith had already dressed a Classic Mini Cooper in his recognizable style, before signing, a year later, a unique edition featuring the « Signature Stripe » pattern for the model’s 40th anniversary. The designer then collaborated on two other special projects: the MINI Strip in 2021 and the MINI Recharged in 2022. This new creation thus continues a creative dialogue between two icons of British design.

Alongside this new model, MINI displays its entire current lineup at Tokyo. The MINI Cooper SE highlights 100% electric driving and the brand’s typical enjoyment, with its 218 horsepower. The MINI Cooper 5-door S exemplifies a compromise between agility and practicality, while the MINI Cabriolet reflects the brand’s « Always Open » philosophy.

The presence of the MINI John Cooper Works Aceman, launched earlier this year, symbolizes the growing influence of the sport sub-brand John Cooper Works in the electric era, with 258 horsepower from a 54.2 kWh battery. The MINI Countryman S ALL4 completes this presentation by representing the most spacious and versatile model in the lineup.
