Lexus and Morizo Unveil a Mischievous Version of the LBX

Recently arrived in France, Lexus’s highly successful hybrid SUV introduces a cheeky “Morizo” version.

Lexus is Toyota’s premium brand and enjoys a total synergy with the Japanese automaker. If you are familiar with Toyota, Akio Toyoda, nicknamed “Morizo,” is likely a familiar name. President and CEO of Toyota, he is much more than just an industry leader; he is a particularly endearing and passionate figure. A true icon in Japan, he is also a recognized driver among his peers and a talented car developer. All the latest sporty models from the manufacturer, including the exceptional GR Yaris, bear the “Morizo touch.”

Akio Toyoda was thus logically involved in the development of this Lexus LBX Morizo RR with one simple mandate: to put a smile on the driver’s face. The 1.6 L inline three-cylinder Turbo engine has been optimized to deliver even more torque and power, with 400 Nm and 305 horsepower, respectively. To effectively transfer this power to the ground, the chassis and running gear have also undergone preparations. A choice of an 8-speed automatic or an intelligent 6-speed manual transmission is paired with an all-wheel drive system managed electronically.

A true sporty and elegant Lexus

At Toyota, forget about bling. All body modifications aim solely to improve downforce and reduce drag, while the enlarged wheel arches accommodate 19-inch rims. More would serve no purpose other than to show off, and that’s not in Toyota and Lexus’s DNA.

As part of the “Bespoke Build” personalization program, customers can create a unique vehicle from a wide catalog. Special options such as yellow brake calipers, Morizo’s signature color, or small luxurious touches for the interior are on the menu, but no bad taste, please, unless you want to be turned away. Available in a limited series with the first 100 units drawn by lot, you’ll need to show a clean slate.
