Leapmotor B10: a major OTA update that changes everything

The electric SUV Leapmotor B10 reaches a new technological milestone thanks to a major software update.

Just six months after its launch, the Leapmotor B10 proves that software is the new driving force in the automotive industry. The brand is currently rolling out its first over-the-air (OTA) update of 2026, transforming the user experience without any need for a workshop visit.

The highlight of this software pack is the introduction of the “One-Pedal” mode. This feature allows for acceleration and braking (up to a complete stop) using only the right pedal. By optimizing kinetic energy recovery, Leapmotor not only offers a smoother driving experience in urban environments but also maximizes the SUV’s range. The ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) and LCC (Lane Centering) assistance systems have also been recalibrated for smoother deceleration in curves.

An ultra-connected cockpit

Responding to strong user demand, the B10 now natively integrates Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Whether wired or wireless, the smartphone ecosystem merges perfectly with the central screen. The interface gains efficiency with a new split-screen mode for navigation and a Quick Start function that drastically reduces the infotainment system startup time.

Customization and increased safety

Leapmotor emphasizes “à la carte” ergonomics. Drivers can now:

• Assign specific functions to the steering wheel buttons.
• Create shortcuts to driving assistance (ADAS).
