La Centrale, a well-known marketplace specializing in automobiles, launches a leasing offer for used vehicles.

This solution allows car owners to access a vehicle suited to their needs while controlling their budget through used car leasing, based on a lease-to-own (LTO) scheme.

While LTO is widely used for new cars, accounting for over 90% of financing, it remains limited in the used car market, with only 38% of financing according to La Centrale. The online classifieds platform now offers a service to simulate used car leasing directly from its website and access auto financing tailored to individual needs.

“In France, nearly three out of four cars are used,” emphasizes Guillaume-Henri Blanchet, Deputy General Manager of La Centrale. “Access to leasing was until now mainly reserved for new cars. This offer aims to simplify access to LTO in the used car market.” With over 25 million monthly visits, the platform serves as a significant entry point for car buyers interested in leasing used cars.

An Increasing Offer in Response to Demand

Starting October 1st, 15,000 vehicles will be available through LTO, with the goal of offering 30,000 by the end of the year. The range includes various types of vehicles: city cars, family cars, and premium models, with a significant portion being hybrid and electric vehicles (39%), as well as gasoline (42%) and diesel (16%) engines.
