When will the new Dacia Duster finally be released?

This is the hottest trend right now: revealing a model months before it goes on sale. This is the case with the Dacia Duster.

Teased as early as 2022, officially unveiled on November 22, 2023, the commercial timetable for the Dacia Duster is surprising. It’s not the only one within the Renault group to do so. The Renault Rafale is even more astonishing, with a reveal coming nearly a year before its introduction to the world. Risking boredom and giving competitors a sales boost?

In the case of the Dacia Duster, the media saga continued in January 2024, specifically on the 4th day of the year, with the announcement of all prices. Starting at 19,690 euros, the positioning of the new-generation Duster has boosted its attractiveness. But also its anticipation.

On the roads in spring?

The launch of a new car is always an industrial and commercial headache. It requires ramping up production, quality, sales training, but most importantly, clearing out old stock. Unfortunately, Dacia never discounts, as it is ingrained in its genetic code. Price fluctuations scare off customers because the residual value of the car they’re about to buy vanishes. The exact opposite of Tesla or some mainstream brands.

Dacia remains vague about the commercial launch of its new Duster, the third of its name. It’s roughly known that it will take place in March 2024, without a specific date, with first deliveries expected in spring. If we follow the calendar, that could mean starting from March 20, 2024.

Will all versions be available immediately, including hybrids and 4WD models? Doubtful, as a phased rollout seems more realistic.
