Now, when looking at Renault’s decision to adjust the price of the Symbioz, the gap becomes incredibly wide. The Czech SUV is significantly more expensive with a starting price of 36,280 euros before discount. But there is a BUT!
Yes, the Karoq does not have hybrid engines and its starting offer is a small 3-cylinder turbo with 116 horsepower (+360 euros in ecological penalty). It’s much less efficient and powerful than the Symbioz with its 145 hybrid horsepower (the new 160 hp version offers no additional interest).
If you want the 1.5-liter turbo engine with 150 horsepower (still 100% thermal), the price increases to 38,350 euros, to which you need to add at least 540 euros in ecological penalties. Thus, the gap between the Symbioz and the Karoq climbs to over 10,000 euros. Enough to shake things up?
