Photos and prices of the new Audi Q5

Renewing a successful model like the Audi Q5 is always a challenge. By taking a cautious approach to electrification, the brand with the rings is taking minimal risks.

Audi continues its dynamic of introducing new models with its successful SUV, the Q5, which has been around for 15 years. Wisdom and caution characterize this new iteration by maintaining the philosophy of a mix of thermal and hybrid powertrains. However, hybrid powertrains are taking on a larger share of the catalog, with an ultra-sporty petrol and electric version.

This SUV is based, like the new Audi A5 models, on the PPC platform: Premium Platform Combustion. This platform allows Audi to launch more efficient internal combustion engine models thanks to MHEV micro-hybrid technology and later also plug-in hybrid engines.

The main change is logically visual, featuring a wider and sportier Singleframe grille that incorporates functional vertical air intakes. The sculptural-shaped headlights enhance a decidedly sportier look. Conversely, the rear end is softer with a simplified design achieved through maximum line reduction.

Audi claims to have planned the launch of over 20 new models between 2024 and 2025, including more than 10 electric models. This year, the launch of new electric models began with the Audi Q6 e-tron in the spring and the Audi A6 e-tron at the end of July. Simultaneously, the company is refreshing its portfolio with internal combustion engine models like the A5 range, unveiled in July.

The new Audi Q5 and Audi SQ5 are immediately launched in Germany and many other European countries. The Q5 range will be available for order in France starting in September. The pricing starts at €57,550 for the Q5 TFSI 204 hp in Design trim (€60,050 with quattro all-wheel drive), €61,470 for the Q5 TDI quattro 204 hp in Design trim, and €95,230 for the sporty SQ5 variant.
