The Lexus LBX discounted to €299/month, but still yellow!

The small hybrid SUV LBX from Lexus refines its financing offer to elevate its Premium pricing positioning.

Originally designed for the North American market, this new entry-level model from Toyota’s luxury division is offered here starting at €34,800. To stand out from the crowd, a rather surprising “Passion Yellow” color is included as standard, along with 17-inch wheels when the norm is usually 18 inches. For any other color from the available 8 shades, a flat fee of €1,000 will be required, and for 18-inch wheels, you’ll need to opt for the “Elegant” trim which is €2,500 more expensive… but still in yellow!

Under the hood, Lexus relies on an ultra-efficient hybrid system from Toyota, featuring a 1.5-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine, combined with an electric motor and a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The overall output is 136 horsepower, achieving 0 to 100 km/h in 9.6 seconds and a top speed of 170 km/h. Not a powerhouse, but more than adequate for urban or suburban driving. Furthermore, the fuel consumption stands at 4.5 l/100 km, with 103 g of CO2/km, thus avoiding any ecological penalties.

It should be noted that the 1.0 kWh battery provides only a few hundred meters of all-electric driving. The hybrid system supports the gasoline engine to optimize acceleration and urban driving phases.

A more accessible long-term lease than it seems

Aimed at relatively affluent customers, the LBX does not shy away from the exercise of Long-Term Leasing, a true lever to attract new buyers.

Lexus is offering until June 30 an updated offer compared to the launch offer at €439/month with an initial payment of €4,990, followed by 36 monthly payments of €299, for a duration of 37 months and a package of 30,000 kilometers. Maintenance is included for the entire contract duration, providing peace of mind.

In total, the operation amounts to about €15,754 over three years, which is just under half the price of the vehicle. A coherent positioning for a premium product that focuses more on build quality and presentation than on massive sales volume.

Finally, with a weight kept under 1,300 kg, the LBX avoids exorbitant parking fees in Paris, a small but significant advantage for savvy urban dwellers.
