Ford announces a series of notable updates for the Puma and the 100% electric Puma Gen-E.

The two compact crossover siblings from Ford gain electric range while incorporating the BlueCruise hands-free driving system and a significantly more powerful B&O audio system. These updates build on the commercial success of both models: the Puma remains Ford’s best-selling vehicle in Europe in 2025, while the Puma Gen-E was the most registered electric vehicle in the UK at the beginning of 2026.

“The exceptional interest in our Puma and Puma Gen-E across Europe confirms that we have the right formula,” assures Christian Weingaertner, General Manager of Ford Europe’s passenger vehicles. “We are now enhancing the onboard experience with premium technologies, including a very high-level audio system.”

Ford finally exceeds the 400 km mark

The Puma Gen-E increases its WLTP range from 376 km to 417 km thanks to an optimized battery (13.0 kWh/100 km). Its European production maintains eligibility for French subsidies up to €7,600.

Ford places particular emphasis on the B&O Premium audio system, which is now even more immersive. On the Puma ST-Line X, Puma ST, and Puma Gen-E Premium trims, the power reaches 650 watts with higher quality new midwoofer speakers integrated into the front doors. The sound becomes deeper, more precise, and enveloping, turning every journey into a true audio pleasure.

The BlueCruise system is also offered, allowing “hands-free, eyes on the road” driving on equipped highways (Blue Zones). It is accessible through a special BlueCruise Edition with unlimited functionality without subscription, flexible packages, or a three-month free trial.

The Premium Connectivity and Connected Navigation remain available for purchase or by subscription. Two new colors are arriving: Cactus Grey on the Puma Gen-E and Electric Yellow on the Puma.
