Less than 20,000 euros, attractive,… What to expect from the MG3?

MG will unveil its MG3 next week. Still unknown in France, this hybrid seems destined for a lovely success.

While electric models are booming at MG, let’s not forget that it’s not the ideal solution for all drivers. A sensible reasoning confirmed by the gasoline SUV ZS, available from 15,000 euros and booming in sales. The challenge is to blend the best of both worlds to appeal to a very broad customer base, a task assigned to the MG3 to be introduced on Monday, February 26th in the morning.

This small, modern hybrid positions itself below the MG4 in terms of size, directly competing with the Renault Clio or Peugeot 208. This little Chinese-British model indeed has big ambitions, and many assets!

A Premium Interior?

MG has already revealed an official view of the MG3, namely its interior above. We see a cabin capable of accommodating 5 people, with seats that are generously carved and cushioned. The finish looks more than serious; the overall vibe exudes quality and appears very welcoming!

The dashboard houses two screens and the usual shortcuts to facilitate access to certain obvious functions like air conditioning, demisting, etc. A RND control, two cup holders, and a wheel are placed between the front passengers. Forget the large display of a Tesla Model 3 or a BYD Seal that groups all controls. The MG3 does not claim to compete in the same league as these ultra-connected sedans, and honestly, that’s quite reassuring.

MG Plays Its Card

But before getting into a car, one must first be attracted by its style. MG released a brief teaser that hints at the overall lines of the hatchback. Once again, quite traditional but not devoid of style.

Of course, the price remains a key question. If this new generation follows the path set by the current MG3 offered in England for only 13,820 £, then we could soon see a modern, high-quality hybrid at just 15,000 euros.
