DS Strengthens Its Hybrid Offer

A new non-rechargeable hybrid electrified engine is now available on the DS 3 and DS 4.

Before the unveiling of entirely electric models, the Brand introduces new electrified solutions on DS 3 and DS 4. The DS 3 HYBRID (from €35,200) and DS 4 HYBRID (from €39,950) are already available for order.

The HYBRID solution consists of a 136 horsepower / 230 Nm petrol engine paired with a new six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that includes the 21 kW (28 horsepower) electric group and 55 Nm. A 0.9 kWh NMC lithium-ion battery powers the self-recharging electric system. The engine is equipped with a new chain-driven timing system and a new variable-geometry turbocharger to optimize durability and low-rev responsiveness.

For the DS 3, the 0 to 100 km/h time improves by 1.2 seconds to 8.4 seconds, and the 1000 meters from a standstill is reduced by 1.1 seconds to 29.7 seconds, compared to the PureTech 130 Automatic engine.

Similarly, the DS 4’s performance is enhanced over the PureTech 130 Automatic engine, with the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration achieved in 10.4 seconds (a 1.2-second gain), and the 1000 meters from a standstill covered in 31.7 seconds (a 1.3-second improvement).

PALLAS and ÉTOILE Trims

The DS 4 HYBRIDE introduces the new trims offered by DS Automobiles in 2024. This new range includes two levels, PALLAS and ÉTOILE, each with two distinct option packs. The exterior design, featuring DS WINGS and a Glossy Black diffuser, remains unchanged but is distinguished by specific 19-inch wheels.

The PALLAS features a Tungsten Diamond Fabric interior with a Black DS Canvas displaying a new pattern of contrasting stitching on the seat and backrest. Cabin comfort is enhanced with acoustic laminated side windows at the front and the Clean Cabin system with “Air Quality System,” complementing the automatic bi-zone climate control. Equipment includes electric seats, DS IRIS SYSTEM infotainment with DS SMART TOUCH, and the DS EXTENDED HEAD-UP DISPLAY. For style, comfort, and safety, the DS 4 HYBRIDE ÉTOILE includes DS MATRIX LED VISION headlights, tinted rear windows and rear windshield, acoustic laminated side windows, and the Rear Traffic Detection Pack.

Two option packs are available: “Comfort” and “Tech” for PALLAS, and “Absolute Comfort” and “Absolute Tech” for ÉTOILE. These packs allow customers to enjoy the best of DS Automobiles’ comfort and technology, including – for ÉTOILE – Level 2 semi-autonomous driving with DS DRIVE ASSIST 2.0, massage seats, FOCAL Electra® Hifi system, and 360° Vision.
