Cap of 100,000 for the Nissan X-Trail in France

Without making waves, the Nissan X-Trail has just passed the symbolic milestone of 100,000 sales in France since the launch of the first generation in 2001.

22 years to sell 100,000 units of a Nissan model is nothing exceptional at a time when the million is the benchmark for more unconventional manufacturers such as Dacia, Tesla, or even MG. But while its 3rd generation is on our roads, the Nissan X-Trail has remained true to its DNA as an authentic family adventurer.

Dedicated to family adventure

Launched in 2001, the first generation of X-Trail laid the foundation for an authentic concept: a highly versatile family vehicle, equipped with a powerful all-wheel drive system and a muscular design. Three generations of X-Trail have succeeded each other without losing the spirit of a recognized and appreciated model. In France, the X-Trail has found its place alongside other brand crossovers. Less mainstream than a Qashqai and less fun than a Juke, it targets a very specific clientele, likely less urban.

Nissan France has thus crossed the symbolic mark of 100,000 X-Trails sold since 2001, with a peak of 10,748 registrations in 2017 thanks to the second generation of this model. The third generation of X-Trail, launched at the end of 2022, elevates all the qualities that made previous generations successful to a higher level.

A very techy Nissan electrification

The distinctive design of the new Nissan X-Trail conveys a sense of robustness, without being aggressive. The electric e-4ORCE all-wheel drive reacts 10,000 times faster than a traditional all-wheel drive system. And the innovative Nissan e‑POWER powertrain offers the feeling of a 100% electric drive without the need to recharge the battery. The originality of the e-POWER powertrain is that the gasoline engine is used solely to generate electricity, while the wheels are driven only by the electric motor.

Thanks to this, the Nissan X-Trail can confidently claim the title of the only electrified crossover in its segment available in a 7-seat version.
