A Little Freshening Up for the Volvo XC60

Volvo offers a small career extension to the current generation of the XC60 with technical and aesthetic updates.

The Volvo XC60, the brand’s best-selling model since its launch in 2017, continues to evolve to meet market expectations. With over 1.5 million units sold worldwide, this plug-in hybrid SUV remains a benchmark in its segment, especially in Europe.

The latest version of the Volvo XC60 features an infotainment system based on the Snapdragon Cockpit platform, offering improved performance. The system is announced as twice as fast and ten times more graphically powerful than the previous version.

An 11.2-inch central touchscreen, with a pixel density increased by 21%, is among the new features. This interface, combined with integrated Google services and the “Volvo Car UX” system, aims to simplify interactions while maintaining better driver focus. These software updates are available on new models and can be remotely deployed for certain existing vehicles.

A very Scandinavian restrained evolution

The exterior design has been slightly revised, with modifications to the grille, wheels, and taillights. No revolution, just small, quite successful tweaks to lighten the silhouette of the imposing SUV. New body colors, including Sequoia Green and Magnetic Silver, complement the already available options.

Inside, renewed materials such as Nordico and Premium City Weave fabric introduce variations in finishes. The storage spaces and overall ergonomics have also been optimized, notably with a wireless phone charger and redesigned cup holders.

Improvements have been made to cabin sound comfort and air filtration. Air suspension and laminated windows are available as options for certain trims. A Bowers & Wilkins branded audio system is offered among the equipment, providing features suited to audiophiles.

The 2026 model of the Volvo XC60 is available for order in some markets, including France. Exact specifications vary by region, allowing each market to tailor the offer according to local preferences.
