This Is the Cheapest Mercedes Right Now

The most affordable Mercedes in the catalog as of January 2024 is a Classe T Ludospace developed in collaboration with Renault.

For 32,498 euros, the Classe T 180 Style is now the cheapest Mercedes in the German catalog. No teasing: it is no longer just a utility vehicle disguised as a minivan. Over the past few years, what are called Ludospaces have been upgrading in quality, finish, and comfort. They no longer have anything to envy from traditional cars.

Their very straight shape is indeed accompanied by some wind noise on the highway, but again, everything should be put into perspective: in 2024, the comfort of any car is no longer comparable to that of a van from the 1980s.

Suspension, soundproofing, engine, equipment, safety—today’s Ludospaces are at the forefront. And this segment is flourishing. The cost-to-space ratio is unbeatable, and Mercedes couldn’t let this market slip away. This is why, in partnership with Renault, the German manufacturer has developed a range called the Classe T.

You don’t need to be clairvoyant to see the similarities with the Renault Kangoo, starting from 25,900 euros with less powerful engine and more basic equipment.

Back to the Mercedes Classe T 180. With its 5 real seats and a 1.3-liter turbo engine with 131 horsepower, long journeys won’t scare it. Fuel consumption is simply slightly impacted by aerodynamics: 6.8 liters per 100 km. And with a CO2 emissions of 153 g/km, its ecological penalty rises to 2726 euros in 2024. This brings the purchase price to 35,224 euros.
