The special edition Mustang GTD Spirit of America celebrates patriotic heritage and bold performance of the Ford Mustang, while paying tribute to the automotive history of the United States.

What immediately catches the eye is its iconic livery: a combination of Performance White, Race Red, and Lightning Blue in tribute to the tri-color Mustang of 1964. This aesthetic is also inspired by the suits worn by Craig Breedlove when he broke the 500 and 600 mph barriers, or respectively 805 and 965 km/h, in the 1960s. Ford proudly emphasizes that the Mustang GTD is the first American car to lap the Nürburgring in under 7 minutes.

Technically, this special edition benefits from the GTD Performance package: drag reduction system, large rear wing in carbon fiber, 20-inch magnesium wheels, enlarged front spoiler, and underbody flaps. Inside, premium finishes include Dinamica inserts, a revamped leather, and contrasting Victory Blue stitching, complemented by red accents. For enthusiasts of refined details, 3D-printed titanium parts, such as the badge, gear lever ring, and paddles, are available.

Under the hood, the same supercharged 5.2-liter V8 delivers an incredible 815 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque. It won’t be easy to get one in Europe because, beyond its price close to $400,000, all units are already reserved by dedicated American customers of the brand with the blue oval!
