Before judging the vehicle, let’s acknowledge that the MAXUS eTERRON 9 opens a new era for pickups in Europe. Equipped with all-wheel drive and a fully electric powertrain, this vehicle combines power and versatility. Measuring 5.50 meters long, it can comfortably seat five passengers while offering a payload of 620 kg and an impressive towing capacity of 3.5 tons.

Its clever design includes a front trunk (“frunk”) with 236 liters of space, ideal for protecting luggage. The “Vehicle to Load” (V2L) functionality also allows the battery to be used as a power source for external devices thanks to several 2.2 kW outlets.

MAXUS goes Premium

The eTERRON 9 includes modern equipment, such as ventilated and massaging leather seats, electrically adjustable. The front seats convert into a flat sleeping space of 170 cm, perfect for extended breaks. Practical for everyday use, this MAXUS features 20 storage compartments and electric openings for the hood and tailgate.

With its two electric motors (325 kW/442 hp), this pickup is more than dynamic and goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds while offering six driving modes, suitable for different terrains. Its high-voltage 102 kWh battery, with optimized design, ensures a WLTP range of 430 km. Fast charging allows it to go from 20% to 80% in just 40 minutes.

Thanks to adjustable air suspension and a reinforced high-strength steel structure (73%), the eTERRON 9 guarantees a stable and secure ride. At night, the advanced lighting system ensures exceptional visibility.

Available by the end of the year, the MAXUS eTERRON will be priced from 69,900 euros. Massive, sturdy, spacious, dynamic, it has everything on paper to love a pickup, but is Europe ready?
