Kia France has unveiled the pricing structure for the 100% electric small SUV EV3, starting at 35,900 euros.
Kia presents this new EV3 as a scaled-down version of its large SUV EV9. The appealing message is that you can find all the qualities of the large SUV in this smaller model!
The new compact model is designed for the city, with a length of 4,300 mm, a width of 1,850 mm, and a height of 1,560 mm, along with a wheelbase of 2,680 mm. It is equipped with an electric powertrain that relies on a 400V platform. In its Standard Range version, the EV3 is offered exclusively with a 58.3 kWh battery, while in its Long Range version, it features an 81.4 kWh battery. The Standard Range version already provides a generous range of 436 km on the WLTP cycle, which increases to 605 km with the larger battery. Its fast charging system allows it to go from 10 to 80% in less than 30 minutes.
Both versions, offered exclusively in front-wheel drive, utilize the same electric motor rated at 150 kW (204 hp) and 283 Nm of torque, allowing the Standard Range version to reach 0 to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds, and the Long Range version in 7.7 seconds. The top speed is set at 170 km/h.
Like the EV9, the very clear range is structured around three trims:
- EV3 Trim: Smart Key keyless entry and start, LED headlights, 11 kW three-phase charger, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a triple panoramic screen entertainment system.
- Earth Trim: collision avoidance system with blind spot detection, tinted rear windows, heated front seats and steering wheel, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, and induction charging.
- GT-line Trim (Long Range only): level 2 highway driving assistant, LED headlights with 12 cubes and welcome lighting feature, full LED taillights, hands-free electric tailgate, customizable and dynamic ambient lighting, and premium Harman Kardon audio system.
