The self-proclaimed Hyper-GT from the Sino-British manufacturer Lotus sharpens its weapons.
With its large sedan Emeya – whose original African name combines the qualities of dreamer, wise, and hard worker – Lotus aims to compete with the benchmark in the high-end market, the Porsche Taycan, but also the Tesla Model S.
Lotus seeks to establish new references in both dynamics and comfort, with an air suspension known to be heavy and energy-consuming. Nevertheless, the power and torque climb to 905 horsepower (675 kW) and 985 Nm with astonishing performance: 0 to 100 km/h in 2.78 seconds and a top speed of 256 km/h.
For the rest, Lotus remains very vague, indicating that pricing and technical details will be revealed later, in the fourth quarter. Production is scheduled to start in 2024.
