Skoda Elroq

We suspected that Skoda was preparing a nice surprise for us with this 100% electric Elroq rich in promises.

This Skoda Elroq is new in more ways than one. It is, above all, the first “Electric Native” model, meaning it is designed and developed to be exclusively electric, from the Czech manufacturer in the highly sought-after compact SUV segment. It primarily inaugurates Skoda’s new Modern Solid design, set to become the brand’s visual signature. A very balanced blend of robustness and modernity. We are far from the Fabia and Octavia of yesteryear! Its standard equipment includes a rearview camera and a 13-inch infotainment system with SmartLink. With a starting price of €33,300 in France, before the deduction of the eligible Ecological Bonus, its equipment-to-price ratio will inevitably be its main asset. And it must be recognized that it really looks good!

The Elroq is available with three battery sizes and four motors. The power levels start at 125 kW for the entry-level Elroq 50. The most powerful version, Elroq 85x, has an additional motor on the front axle for all-wheel drive. The Elroq 85 can achieve a maximum range of 579 kilometers in the WLTP cycle. Like the range, the charging rates are not outrageous, with up to 175 kW at fast charging stations, but at such a price, you can’t ask for too much. This allows you to recharge from 10 to 80% in less than 30 minutes.

Faithful to Skoda’s philosophy that prioritizes the interior, the Elroq offers a generous interior space with a trunk of 470 liters, which expands to 1,580 liters with the rear seats folded down. Cleverly distributed compartments within the cabin provide a storage capacity of 48 liters.

The online configurator is now open on Skoda France’s website. Deliveries will begin in the first quarter of 2025.
