Toyota launches its bZ4X electric vehicle

Poor Toyota bZ4X, whose career mirrors its name—complicated. But now available for less than 35,000 euros, the awkward duckling is turning into a swan.

The bZ4X is Toyota’s first 100% electric model. It benefits from the native electric e-TNGA platform, which integrates the battery into the vehicle’s structure, offering optimal rigidity and a low center of gravity. With a 71.4 kWh lithium-ion battery, the bZ4X boasts a WLTP range of 500 km in front-wheel drive and 460 km in all-wheel drive. So far, nothing to complain about, especially knowing Toyota’s product quality. So why is there a hitch? Launched at over 50,000 euros in base trim, the model had no chance against the giants Tesla and MG. And when you miss the train in this fast-moving electric world, there’s no second chance.

However, Toyota responded quickly by significantly lowering the price, but the model was immediately heavily impacted by the removal of the ecological bonus. This was followed by a few months of uncertainty before Toyota decided to launch an offensive to relaunch itself on a French market that has always been favorable to it, notably thanks to the success of the Yaris and Yaris Cross Made in Valenciennes.

Toyota France has therefore reduced prices across the entire bZ4X range, offering discounts exceeding 10,000 euros depending on the trim. And to make the bZ4X even more accessible, a new rebate of 5,000 euros—the same as the ecological bonus—has been applied. The bZ4X in Pure Business trim is now available from 34,900 euros for all orders before March 3, 2025! At this price, it immediately becomes more attractive.
