This 1000-horsepower BYD convertible is coming to Europe!

The Chinese giant BYD announces the upcoming launch in Europe of the Denza Z, a 1,000-horsepower electric convertible hypercar.

With the Denza Z, BYD is no longer content to dominate the mass market: it is now targeting the ultra-exclusive segment of electric supercars. Presented as the world’s first “intelligent supercar,” this four-seater convertible will make its official debut this summer at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

A dress designed by Wolfgang Egger

Under the direction of designer Wolfgang Egger (former Audi and Lamborghini), the Denza Z adopts the concept “Pure Emotion.” Its carbon fiber body and aerodynamic solutions, such as its front air duct, are designed to offer total stability at high speeds. It rests on the Disus-M chassis control system, ensuring unparalleled agility on track.

Performance that defies physics

The technical specifications of the Denza Z set the bar very high against traditional luxury manufacturers:

• Raw power: Over 1,000 hp from three electric motors.
• Lightning speed: A 0 to 100 km/h sprint completed in under 2 seconds.
• Ultra-fast charging: The Flash Charging 2.0 system allows charging in just 5 minutes.
• Range: Approximately 599 km (WLTP), thanks to BYD’s renowned Blade battery technology.

Imminent offensive in the European market

Currently undergoing intensive testing on the Nürburgring circuit, the Denza Z will be available in three versions: Standard, Convertible, and Track. While its price is not yet official, it is expected to significantly exceed €120,000 from the recent Z9GT.
