The Tesla Model 3 at 36,890 euros for only 3 months?

Is the Tesla Model 3 on promotion or has it simply found its true place in the lineup?

Since July 7, the electric sedan has benefited from a significant discount of €3,100, applied in the form of a temporary “Tesla bonus,” valid until September 27, 2025 — provided that delivery occurs before September 30. A welcome boost for a model that is seeing its sales slow down, outpaced by the success of the Model Y.

But is this offer, announced as limited, really so? At Tesla, spectacular price cuts are rarely without ulterior motives. What if this discount were merely a temporary disguise for a new pricing structure being quietly implemented?

More than a promo: a repositioning

The Model 3 is now offered starting at €36,890 (Propulsion version), which is an extremely low price for such a well-equipped car. The Long Range Propulsion version drops to €41,890, and the highly versatile Long Range All-Wheel Drive to €46,890. As for the Performance, it remains at €54,390, a consistent price given its capabilities.

From this perspective, the price drop no longer seems like a one-time operation, but a logical realignment in response to competition… including from the Model Y. The latter, often better perceived for family use, has occupied a more advantageous price position until now. By lowering the Model 3’s price, Tesla corrects this imbalance.

Officially, the €3,100 bonus will disappear after September 27. But Tesla is known to extend such initiatives, especially when it comes to boosting orders in the context of a market slowdown. Moreover, this price, no matter how aggressive, now aligns with the perceived value of the model in a competitive landscape where electric sedans are numerous but rarely as well positioned in terms of performance/price.

Unless there is a strategic turnaround or a readjustment related to production costs, everything suggests that these floor prices are here to stay. A good piece of news for potential buyers, who may not need to rush… but would be wrong to wait too long. At Tesla, everything can change overnight.
