Follow the Tesla Cybertruck Delivery Event Live!

Today marks the end of an unbearable wait! The first Cybertruck will be delivered this evening with great fanfare, and we will finally know… its price!

As the first Cybertruck units are delivered tonight, the price of the pickup remains unknown! However, its technical specifications have long leaked through more or less intentionally scattered information and VIN declaration.

The Cybertruck is Tesla’s first new vehicle since the Model Y in 2020, a time when profits have dropped due to the relentless price war that the brand is waging against Chinese manufacturers. The Semi and the new Roadster are not yet in production, and the low-cost Model 2 is not expected before 2026. And here is the pickup at the forefront of Tesla’s unintentional attack. One in five vehicles sold in the US and Canada last year was a pickup. Half of these, about 1.5 million vehicles, were higher-end models, a market where the Cybertruck will have to compete with absolute bestsellers such as the Ford F-150 or Chevrolet’s Silverado. Ford alone produces around a million vehicles annually! In Europe, we keep mocking and criticizing the Cybertruck, but it’s important to understand that Musk doesn’t care about this niche market where his truck isn’t expected to make high sales figures. The Cybertruck is American, designed for Americans, and will be sold to Americans.
