The Renault 4 Plays Firefighter Sam

Renault presents Vision 4RESCUE, a concept car based on the Renault 4, 100% electric, redefining emergency vehicles.

Renault and the Software Republic unveil Vision 4RESCUE, an innovative demonstrator designed to improve emergency response efficiency in critical situations. Based on the Renault 4 E-Tech electric, this futuristic vehicle embodies a new approach to emergency assistance, blending advanced technology with functional design.

Resulting from a collaboration between Renault and firefighters, a partnership that has lasted over 15 years, Vision 4RESCUE incorporates an ecosystem of around 20 interconnected solutions, conceived with the support of the Software Republic. The goal: facilitate coordination and speed of intervention on the ground, through a mobile command center capable of adapting in real-time to each mission.

A connected and well-equipped future Lada 4

Equipped with a comprehensive setup including a surveillance drone, communication antennas, and onboard screens, the vehicle acts like a real control tower on wheels. Its raised ground clearance and all-wheel drive enable it to operate on all types of terrain, with a compact body and a design crafted for action.

The bright red exterior of this Renault 4, crossed by yellow-green fluorescent markings and explicit references to the rescue universe, clearly indicates the vehicle’s purpose. Inside, everything has been designed for the comfort and safety of responders: durable upholstery, reflective elements, dedicated storage areas, and recycled materials, some of which are sourced from firefighter uniforms.

The rear tailgate conceals a technological cockpit with touchscreens and modular storage spaces. This true mobile HQ allows for overseeing operations, piloting drones, and maintaining contact with other units, even in isolated areas.

With Vision 4RESCUE, Renault and its partners offer a concept at the crossroads of technological innovation and public service. A concrete and functional vision of what future emergency vehicles could be: more connected, more adapted, and always ready to intervene like the heroic French firefighters.
