The New Tesla Model Y Juniper Finally Unveiled!

The highly anticipated second-generation Model Y code-named “Juniper” was unveiled overnight on Tesla’s Chinese website.

All possible and imaginable rumors surrounding this updated version have been circulating for months, fueled by camouflaged models seen during testing phases. Inspired by the changes brought to the Model 3 last year, this redesign nonetheless features specific elements.

At the front, the bumper has been streamlined and the new tapered headlights feature a light bar spanning across the width of the hood. At the rear, a red light now extends across the entire width of the tailgate, providing visual coherence. However, the overall silhouette of the Model Y, with its tall and curved proportions, remains logically unchanged. It makes sense since this is ultimately just a facelift.

The interior benefits from notable improvements. Among them, ventilated front seats, a redesigned steering wheel with touch controls for indicators, and a rear screen dedicated to passengers, combining climate controls and entertainment functions. These changes, already introduced on the Model 3, hopefully come with better materials quality and enhanced acoustic insulation.

For now, Tesla has not disclosed the European specifications for the 2025 Model Y. The Chinese version seems to omit the Performance trim, which is not surprising since it arrived later on the Model 3. Official prices remain unknown, but the Tesla France website has already more or less officially informed us that the starting price for the Rear-Wheel Drive model will be €44,990.
The European order launch is imminent, and we expect to see this beautiful model on our roads around May 2025.
