MG5, the new electric SUV from MG, is now available in France

Taking over from the MG5 sedan, the MGS5 EV, now a 100% electric SUV, is available for order in the French market.

Built on the modular MSP platform, the MGS5 EV inherits many features from the MG4 EV, while introducing new equipment to enhance the user experience.

The MGS5 EV benefits from numerous technological advancements, such as the iSMART system which allows vehicle control via a mobile app. Compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wirelessly, it also includes built-in apps like Spotify and TikTok. The interior features a 12.8-inch HD touchscreen, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and an improved ergonomics with physical controls.

The spacious interior offers a height under ceiling of 1026 mm at the front and 967 mm at the rear. The trunk provides a volume of 453 liters, expandable to 1441 liters. The rear seats fold 60:40, and a modular trunk floor and an electric tailgate on the Luxury trim enhance practicality. Materials include soft plastics and refined finishes, while the Luxury trim seats are made of two-tone synthetic leather.

MG is making a new assault!

Equipped with an electric motor of 231 hp (170 kW) and 350 Nm of torque, the MGS5 EV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds. Five driving modes are available: Normal, Sport, Comfort, Snow, and Custom. Efficiency is optimized through energy recovery during braking and low-resistance bearings.

Two batteries are offered: 49 kWh and 64 kWh, providing ranges of 480 km and 465 km respectively (WLTP). Fast charging allows from 10% to 80% in 24 to 28 minutes.

The MGS5 EV is priced starting at 32,490 euros for the Comfort 49 kWh version, with a 7-year or 120,000 km guarantee. Three versions are available: Comfort 49 kWh, Comfort 64 kWh starting at 35,990 euros, and Luxury 64 kWh at 38,490 euros.
