The new Jeep Compass is coming soon

Is the Jeep Compass at the end of its lifecycle? It’s certain that the arrival of the 100% electric Jeep Avenger hasn’t done it many favors, but this model had the particularity of being available with light hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains, making it more versatile for daily use. So, they aren’t changing a successful recipe, but they can always improve it.

The compact SUV based on Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform is being renewed and will now be available with all-wheel drive and a wide choice of powertrains, ranging from fully electric to plug-in hybrid, including a simple hybrid offering. Jeep is thus opening up to a broader range of powertrains but wants to continue offering its customers who want it true off-road capabilities of a real Jeep. An intelligent choice because preserving the Jeep DNA allows the brand to distinguish itself from other SUV providers, namely… the entire market! The manufacturer remains a provider of true off-road vehicles and wants to make this known.

Jeep is accelerating its transformation. Aware that large engine cars no longer have much future in Europe, the American-rooted manufacturer has relied heavily on technical partnerships within the Stellantis alliance to offer small engines with light hybridization, but also traditional plug-in hybrids and now electric options.

The best-selling model worldwide by the brand, the new Jeep Compass will probably be presented in Europe before the end of the year, with production planned in Melfi (Italy) starting in 2025. As a global model, it will then be marketed in North America and around the world from 2026.
