The Leapmotor B10 at €29,900 and soon much cheaper?

The Chinese manufacturer Leapmotor makes a strong entry into Europe with its B10 SUV at a very low price, but the best is yet to come.
On September 8, 2025, at the IAA Mobility show in Munich, Leapmotor will officially unveil its B10 to the European public. This electric SUV, based on the LEAP 3.5 architecture and designed for connectivity and long-distance autonomy, has a starting price of €29,900. At this price point, it already establishes itself as one of the most aggressive models on the market, in a context where the price war has never been more intense.
For now, the first units will arrive directly from China to quickly meet demand starting in fall 2025. But Leapmotor has already planned for the future: from the third quarter of 2026, the B10 will be produced at the Stellantis factory in Zaragoza, Spain. This location is strategic: producing in Europe will avoid the customs duties imposed on Chinese imports, while also reducing logistical costs.
A decisive advantage is added to this equation: by manufacturing on European soil, the B10 could again qualify for ecological bonuses, which many imported cars are currently denied. As a result, the price paid by the end customer could significantly decrease.
How low can the price go?
Currently priced at under €30,000, the B10 could, once produced in Spain and eligible for local incentives, get closer to the symbolic threshold of €25,000, or even lower in certain highly incentivizing countries. This prospect would make the Chinese SUV a formidable competitor for European mainstream manufacturers, who would be forced to follow this price war.

With the B10 and soon the B05, Leapmotor is not just exporting: it is building an industrial foothold and wants to prove its ability to play in the big leagues. Europe will be the arbiter of this strategy. If the gamble pays off, the B10 could become the symbol of a major shift in the balance of the automotive market.
