The Kia EV2 Long Range is now available
The Kia EV2 expands its range with a Long Range version capable of covering up to 453 km on a single charge.
Kia completes the offering of its new urban electric SUV with the arrival of the Long Range variant. Already available for order in France, this version features a more generous 61 kWh battery to meet the needs of motorists wanting to venture beyond strictly urban settings. It claims a range of up to 453 km according to the WLTP cycle, making it one of the best values in its category.
Small SUV, big range
Unlike the entry-level version equipped with a 42.2 kWh LFP battery, this Long Range variant adopts an NMC technology battery. The electric motor develops 135 hp (99.5 kW), prioritizing efficiency over pure performance. The homologated consumption is announced at 15.2 kWh/100 km on the Air trim, maximizing the range.
Fast charging remains a strong point of the EV2. The manufacturer announces a charge from 10 to 80% in about 30 minutes on a fast DC charger, limiting downtime during long journeys. The Long Range version is offered from the Air trim, with a price set at €33,320. The Earth and GT-Line trims are also available at €35,320 and €37,320 respectively.

With this new variant, Kia strengthens the positioning of the EV2 against the benchmarks in the compact electric SUV segment. Its range exceeding 450 km, European manufacturing, and level of equipment make it a credible alternative for motorists seeking a versatile electric vehicle without crossing into the territory of larger models. The EV2 thus confirms Kia’s ambition to democratize electric mobility while maintaining an excellent balance between price, range, and onboard technologies.
