Renault Grand Kangoo

Renault revealed at the Munich IAA Mobility the 7-seater version with independent seats of its famous Kangoo. A Grand Kangoo with high capacity.

25 years after pioneering the ludospace segment with a design emphasizing versatility and ease of use, Renault Kangoo continues to adapt to its time without losing its DNA based on common sense rather than looks.

Renault Grand Kangoo

Produced in more than 4.4 million units across 50 countries worldwide, Kangoo is a best-seller whose success has persisted since 2011. With an intelligent approach, it combines the best of two worlds: a family car marked by a sober design and record-breaking interior space, and a vehicle for professionals, notably thanks to its cargo volume and robustness.

A larger and more spacious Kangoo

Having benefited from continuous upgrading and new innovations over the years, Renault Kangoo is now available in a long version with independent 7 seats.

  • 3 real seats in the second row and 2 in the third, comfortably accommodating 7 adults
  • Best knee clearance in its category for third-row passengers (164 mm)
  • Over 58 liters of accessible storage including the Easy Life sliding drawer, or under-foot storage hatches in the second row
  • A 500-liter trunk, in 7-seater version, expandable to 3,750 liters once the rear seats are removed and the front passenger seat folded down
  • 3.11 meters of loading length when the front passenger seat is folded down.
  • 14 driving aids, including level 2 autonomous driving, to enhance safety

To facilitate access to the third row, the two wide 83 cm sliding doors gain 18 cm compared to Kangoo (83 cm + 18 cm). Large families and early childhood professionals are a prime target for this vehicle, which offers 5 ISOFIX seats and ergonomic features that make installing children in baby seats or boosters easier. These evolutions are no mere modifications; we are facing a new vehicle designed for a different use than its little brother Kangoo. The dashboard also evolves with the display of specific E-Tech data on the electric version.

Fully electric, but not only

Under the hood, the Grand Kangoo E-Tech electric is equipped with a 90 kW motor and 245 Nm of torque, available immediately for smooth and confident driving in all conditions. An Eco mode limits power (56 kW) and top speed (110 km/h) to optimize range. Thanks to its new 45 kWh lithium-ion battery with 100% usable capacity, the new Grand Kangoo E-Tech electric offers an autonomy of up to 265 km in WLTP cycle. While this driving radius is limited, it allows users to handle most daily trips with peace of mind and at minimal cost.

To recharge the battery, Renault offers a choice between two types of chargers:

  • A fast three-phase 22 kW AC charger allowing to go from 15% to 80% in 2h40
  • A 22 kW AC-DC charger (standard) allowing to recover 170 km in 27 minutes

Grand Kangoo is not intended to drive across France in a single trip during summer migrations, but with the MyRenault smartphone app or the Renault Easy Link multimedia system as standard on all equipment levels, with a few stops at charging stations, you can plan a family trip comfortably. If you wish to use it regularly for long journeys, the model will also be available in thermal versions with 2 engine options, Gasoline 130 hp BVM6 or EDC7, or Diesel 95 hp BVM6.

Orders will open at the end of the year, with first deliveries scheduled for early 2024.
