The Fiat 600e in the deep end

The production of the new Fiat 600e at the Stellantis factory in Tychy has started on schedule, as announced by the brand.

The first 600e off the line is a beautiful Prima, in the color “ Sun Orange of Italy ”. Note that this Prima trim already benefits from a 2000 euro boost if you decide to order it through Fiat’s website. The price drops from 40,900 euros to 38,900 euros (-5%). At 35,900 euros before bonus, the base version (RED) competes alongside its category B counterparts. Fiat’s new small electric hatchback obviously reminds its little sister, the 500e on a smaller scale. The 600e will have to grow under the shadow of its best-seller with its charming face but boasts a style that stands out while respecting a rich heritage. The risk would have been to fall into grotesqueness or caricature, but the result is quite successful and far from the unappealing 500 L, which will not go down in history.

More than just a big Fiat e500

Its technical specifications are strictly the same as those of its French cousin from the Stellantis group, the Peugeot 2008, with a 54 kWh battery powering a 115 kW (156 horsepower) motor. Strangely, the range is incredibly higher, with a promise of 400 km in mixed WLTP cycle, and up to 600 km in city driving thanks to regenerative braking. This seems quite optimistic, but Fiat maintains its figures.

Instead, we will appreciate the very zen and stylish interior vibe, with brightness and good connectivity.

An hybrid version, probably more affordable and practical for frequent drivers, will be launched from the first quarter of 2024.
