Kia’s electric minivan reveals its pricing

Family version of a vehicle designed to be utilitarian, the Kia PV5 Passenger is nonetheless interesting

Kia France has presented the new PV5 Passenger, a fully electric family vehicle, available starting at €39,550 on the French market. This model is based on the dedicated E-GMP.S platform, specifically designed for electric vehicles.

Already launched in a utility version, the Kia PV5 now arrives in a “Passenger” version, with 5 seats, designed for families. It offers a modern design, a large glazed area, and a low entry threshold, making it easier to board. The interior is particularly austere but spacious with a large trunk of 1,320 liters.

The Kia PV5 benefits from advanced technologies, such as a 12.9-inch central screen, a 7.5-inch instrument cluster, compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as an Android Automotive interface. It is also equipped with modern features like bidirectional charging (V2L and V2G), Plug&Charge, and over-the-air (OTA) updates.

Two powertrains are offered:

• 51.5 kWh battery with 122 hp motor
• 71.2 kWh battery with 163 hp motor and up to 400 km WLTP range

Fast charging allows going from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes.

The range offers two trim levels:

• Essential: complete driving aids, automatic climate control, 12.9’’ screen, V2L/V2G included.
• Plus: adds 360° vision, blind spot detection, heat pump, etc.

Produced outside Europe, the PV5 is excluded from the Ecological bonus, but thanks to EU regulations, it is eligible for a CE subsidy of up to €480.

The vehicle will be produced in a modern factory in South Korea, the “Kia EVO Plant,” dedicated to the PV5 range. The first deliveries are scheduled for the end of October 2025. Orders will open in the coming weeks across the Kia France network.
