Today’s headline: Opel Mokka 2 Electric at 26% Off

Peugeot e-2008 with a different body style, the Opel Mokka suffers from a lack of notoriety but not qualities. It’s worth paying attention to!

The recovery of Opel since its acquisition by the PSA group — which later became Stellantis following the merger with FIAT-Chrysler — is spectacular. All the industrial logic and economies of scale are working at full throttle. To put it simply, Opel, Peugeot, Citroën, DS, or Fiat are now mostly the same cars but with distinct presentations. The components are shared, not the brand territories. Like in fashion, in the end, and that’s very clever.

From a brand on the verge of bankruptcy, Opel now shows a dynamism that’s a pleasure to see. The most confusing part is that a large part of the solution has come through styling. A very modern and understated design at the same time, whereas the previous German productions were frankly outdated. Everything has changed.

However, rebuilding a brand image and a network of dealerships takes years. That’s why the Opel Mokka still flies under the radar, even though its qualities are exactly those of the Peugeot e-2008, DS3 E-Tense, or the new Fiat 600, for example.

Mobiwisy has found a new (but registered) Mokka 2 (the current in-showrooms following the 2022 update) in its sporty 136 GS Line finish. The catalog price with the options present here (notably the striking Red Cardinal color and the Advanced City 180° pack) was then €42,300 at the time of registration. The same configuration is now billed at €44,050!

Once the discount — which includes the ecological bonus — is applied, the reduction reaches a significant 26% or €11,000. It’s hard to do better today for an SUV whose charging power reaches 100 kW and thus can handle long trips without hassle. With a usable 50 kW battery, the WLTP mixed range of 342 km is also sufficient for daily needs (commuting, etc.).
