Tesla must not disappoint tonight!

In less than 19 hours, Tesla will hold a special conference, rich in stakes for its future. What to expect?

This Thursday, October 10, at 7:00 PM Californian time (4:00 AM French time from Thursday to Friday), Tesla is organizing its “We, Robot” event at the Warner Bros studio. A highly anticipated star, the fully autonomous mobile unit better known as the Robotaxi. Last April, Tesla CEO Elon Musk promised this presentation for August 8 but ultimately had to delay it by 2 months to make some “design changes” to the vehicle. Essentially, it wasn’t ready. Now it seems to be and the company is ready to unveil it to the public. It was really time because the major rival Waymo is already on the launching pad with Hyundai.

In addition to this autonomous car, there is a strong possibility that Tesla’s humanoid robot Optimus will be highlighted as suggested by the title of the event “We, Robot” which is not translatable. Musk has already stated that he hopes to see them hired in his Tesla and SpaceX factories by 2025.

However, investors and analysts are mainly waiting for the manufacturer to present a low-cost car. This key market in the electric transition is the future of the automobile in the short term, and Tesla had promised them a Model 2 for under 25,000 euros for 2024 before putting the project on hold. At the very least, it will need to explain why autonomous driving is a priority. Answers in a few hours at the end of a show that promises to be vibrant!
