Price, performance, stay unbeatable on the Tesla Cybertruck

Initially available in its most expensive and high-performance versions, the Cybertruck Propulsion will be released in 2025. We tell you everything.

The grand launch event of the Tesla Cybertruck has finally taken place, with nearly two years delay from the initial schedule. And you’ll have to wait a little longer, because in Tesla’s priority list, the company has once again preferred to generate buzz by promoting its craziest Cybertruck, the Cyberbeast (TECHNICAL SHEET HERE). An electric pickup truck with a price symbolically below $100,000… excluding taxes (each US state has its own VAT rate). $100,000 excl. tax, approximately €110,000 including VAT in France… if it ever goes on sale there someday.

No information yet on the availability of this trim, unlike the one that’s expected to be the most popular due to its affordability: the Cybertruck Propulsion, priced at $60,990 before tax, or €56,000 before tax. For this version, at least until 2025, even in the United States where priority will be given to the Cyberbeast and Dual Motor ($79,990 before tax, approximately €73,300 before tax).

However, everything should be put into perspective: the prices reflect nearly a 40% inflation compared to the promises made in 2019, but they remain in line with the trend of the electric pickup market in the USA.

3 MODELS IN THE CYBERTRUCK RANGE

CYBERTRUCK PROPULSION

Not before 2025, with Tesla estimating a range of 250 miles, or about 402 km. In real-world terms, expect closer to 320-350 km in the best case. 0 to 100 km/h acceleration is announced at 6.7 seconds, a real achievement for a vehicle over 3 tons. Its power is roughly estimated at 400 horsepower.

CYBERTRUCK DUAL MOTOR

Immediately, it is expected to be the best-selling version due to its four-wheel drive. The official range jumps to 545 km and 0 to 100 km/h drops to 4.3 seconds. The top speed is limited to 180 km/h, and the announced power is 600 horsepower.

Interestingly, the rear seats, like on the new Tesla Model 3, feature a central screen for watching movies and playing video games.

CYBERTRUCK CYBERBEAST

This is the most savage version, with an estimated power of 845 horsepower. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is achieved in 2.7 seconds, better than 99% of sports cars on the market. Its official range drops to 515 km, approximately 400 km in real-world conditions.

The top speed increases to 209 km/h, but stopping the 3104 kg empty weight of the “beast” will not be easy.
