Skoda invites you to play during electric charges
The Czech manufacturer is rolling out new entertainment, streaming, and assistance features on its 100% electric models.
The car manufacturer Skoda announces the expansion of its infotainment offerings on its 100% electric vehicles, with the introduction of new gaming, video, music streaming, and driving assistance services. This update particularly concerns the Enyaq and Elroq models and aims to optimize the use of onboard screens during stop phases, especially when charging.
Among the new features is the integration of the AirConsole gaming platform, developed by the Swiss studio N-Dream. Fifteen games are available at launch, including an exclusive version of Tetris dedicated to the brand. The concept relies on using the smartphone as a controller while the vehicle’s central screen becomes the game interface. Sessions are limited to periods when the vehicle is parked.
More pleasant charging breaks
The Skoda Play video service is also making its debut. Based on a technological solution developed by 3SS, it offers news and educational content from recognized international partners, with playback also restricted to when the vehicle is stationary. The aim is to provide simplified access to information and educational programs directly from the dashboard.
On the audio side, the Spotify app is now natively integrated into the multimedia system. Users can connect to their account without using a smartphone, listen to music and podcasts via the vehicle’s data connection, and immediately access their personal libraries.
