Skoda Confirms Upcoming Launch of the Compact SUV Epiq

Skoda took advantage of the release of its strong results to confirm two electric SUVs, including the urban and affordable Epiq

It’s official — Skoda will present the final version of the Epiq, a compact fully electric SUV, during 2025. Standing tall and electric, it will sit above the Fabia, the brand’s compact reference. Let’s wish it the same success!

With its ambitious name, the Epiq follows in the footsteps of Skoda’s memorable names, like the Superb sedan. The initial visuals confirm a rectangular design, optimized for space and practicality. Resembling Japanese Kei Cars, this SUV measures 4.10 meters in length, offering a spacious interior for five passengers and a generous trunk reaching 490 liters.

A challenger in a well-established market

The Epiq targets a tough segment, with an entry price of around €25,000 and an announced range of over 400 km. Facing competitors such as the Citroën Ë-C3, Renault 5, or Kia EV3, it relies on its modern and robust style. Named “Modern Solid” by Skoda, this design combines bold bumpers and assertive lines, although some elements will need adjustments for homologation.

Inside, Skoda stays true to its mantra with a minimalist and durable cabin. The Epiq offers eco-friendly materials, numerous storage spaces, a compact driver display behind a two-spoke steering wheel, and an intuitive central screen. The clever trunk includes hooks for bags, a compartment for charging cables, and various practical accessories.

The Epiq will be produced in Pamplona, Spain, on a shared electric platform developed with Volkswagen and Cupra. Its official debut is expected in the second half of 2025, marking a significant milestone for Skoda in its electric lineup.
