Skoda Aims for Electrical Heights with the Peaq

The new seven-seater electric SUV from Skoda promises space, comfort, and range for modern families.

As electrification accelerates among European manufacturers, Škoda is revealing more about its new flagship model: the Peaq. This large 100% electric SUV, set to be launched in the second half of 2026, marks an important milestone for the Czech brand. Inspired by the Vision 7S concept presented in 2022, it becomes the largest and most spacious vehicle ever produced by Škoda, while embodying the ambition to double its range of zero-emission models starting this year.

Measuring nearly 4.9 meters in length, with a wheelbase of 2,965 mm and a height of about 1.7 meters, the Peaq is designed to meet the needs of large families and demanding drivers in terms of space and versatility. It offers a standard seven-seat configuration, while also providing a five-seat version that frees up a record boot volume of 1,010 liters – the most generous in the current lineup. Even with seven seats, the boot retains a usable capacity of 299 liters, supplemented by an additional storage space of 37 liters under the front hood.

The new face of Skoda

The design fully embraces the “Modern Solid” language, characterized by clear lines, a strong presence, and a particular focus on functionality. The front end is distinguished by the “Tech-Deck,” a glossy black backlit panel, while Full Matrix LED headlights with 18 segments and flush door handles, a first for Skoda, enhance the modern look and aerodynamic efficiency. Wheel sizes ranging from 19 to 21 inches and ten exterior color options complete the customization possibilities, including a more dynamic Sportline variant.

Inside, the focus is on well-being and comfort during long journeys. The optional Relax Pack transforms the interior into a true mobile lounge: ergonomic seats with massage, electric leg rests, a foldable table, and a wellness app that coordinates lighting, air conditioning, and relaxation functions. A significant innovation lies in the Premium Sound audio system developed in partnership with Sonos, promising high-quality sound immersion. The Peaq also debuts the largest panoramic roof in the brand’s history: an electrochromic model divided into nine segments, which can have its tint adjusted manually or via preset modes.

Technical specifications under the hood and inside

Under the hood, three engine variants are announced (60, 90, and 90x), with power outputs ranging from 204 to 299 hp. The higher versions offer a range of over 600 km according to the WLTP cycle and accept rapid charging from 10 to 80% in just 28 minutes. The 90x variant with all-wheel drive provides dynamic performance with a 0-100 km/h time of 6.7 seconds, while benefiting from a low center of gravity favorable to road handling.

The technological equipment includes an Android-based infotainment system with a 13.6-inch vertical display, a 10-inch Digital Cockpit, a digital key, and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality to power external devices. Numerous typical “Simply Clever” solutions from Skoda make daily life easier: wiper blades with integrated nozzles, a powerful wireless charger, ambient lighting, and sustainable materials incorporating over 50 kg of recycled content in certain versions.
