Renault takes the bold path of independence with European LFP batteries for the upcoming electric Twingo.
Renault announced a new generation of affordable electric cars, including the Twingo E-Tech, scheduled for 2026 at under €20,000. The French units of Ampere do have the industrial potential to produce batteries; however, LFP battery manufacturing in France is not (yet) a reality.
